Pearl Valley 334 – a modern house interior by Antoni Associates

A young family wanted to move away from city and settle a new living in a more relaxed country lifestyle, so they opted for the exclusive Pearl Valley Golf Estate near Paarl, a town just 30 minutes away from Cape Town. The owners gave their trust to Antoni Associates to design a modern house interior that is environmentally friendly. With an emphasis on the luxury of running barefoot, and the use of natural Materials, we are looking at a marvellous modern house with a relaxed luxury feeling.

The whole project was designed around a central courtyard with reflective pond and beautiful landscaping. This modern house interior is absolutely spectacular – upon entering the house you cross an expansive foyer. The living area is with a sloped ceiling and simple white chandeliers. The dining area has a horizontal chimney, which is placed on the same level with the dining table. A striking glass chandelier hangs over the long table made of French oak.

The kitchen combines the formal areas with the entertainment room and looks onto the central courtyard. The custom bar stools made of soft leather and steel by OKHA Interiors provide seatings around the central island. A floating staircase leads to the four bedrooms. The main living area flows onto the front terrace and pool, which offers a range of entertainment facilities such as a TV lounge, an indoor barbecue and a bar adjacent to the courtyard. Floating steps lead to the reflecting pond at the bar, which reveals a covered spa area overlooking the pool. Subtle lighting has been installed everywhere for a warm glow to the peripheral edges. Indirect lighting is also been used to highlight and emphasize the organic natural surfaces. The furniture and furnishings are modern and enhance the experience of the house. This contemporary house interior, with the tactile finishes including wood, leather and natural textile as raw linens, gives a feeling of sophisticated luxury.
