This modern minimalist house in Lagos, Portugal is built by Portuguese architecture studio Mario Martins Atelier between 2007 and 2010. The surrounding of the building is featureless but it reveals a nice view to the west part of Algarve coast. The terrain is uneven and forms landscape terraces over which is laid the exposed concrete base. A suspended walkway made from concrete leads us to the entrance of the house. The stairway to the upper floor is located in a spacious hallway with a pool. It leads up to the living area – a combined kitchen, dining and living room space. Three bedrooms are also sheltered on this floor. The indoor living space of the modern house opens to the landscape thanks to the large terrace that goes around the stairway and connects to all the rooms. From the glass railing terrace one can admire the surrounding beauty of the area under daylight and fresh air. The outdoor terrace space is covered with the roof slab that stretches over it. The façade is designed in modern neutral colors – white and black and concrete gray.
