Modern house design in Zen style

Designed by Spanish architects A-cero and located in Pozuelo de Alarcon in Madrid, Spain, this modern design house is made of sculptural granite and glass which stands out within its lush background. Dramatic welcome is introduced by a facade of curved walls of stone dark granite and marble travertine, meanwhile providing privacy and tact between the street and the house.

There is also a water feature that flows from outside to the entrance, creating a seamless transition to the interior environment. The house plot is a descending slope towards a lake, which allowed for an upper and a lower terrace for outdoor living and entertaining.

Modern house in Zen style

The terrain is pure zen as you might think, but that is what makes this house so unique. The high floor, with exterior access, and the low floor, both overlook to a wide terrace with a pergola and to the garden house. A very wide and luminous hall is lined with skylights, and leads to the essence of luxury living revealed in a spacious kitchen, wine vault, dining room, lounge, office and library.

Indoor swimming pool

It goes on into the home’s private living spaces – the main bedroom, an indoor swimming pool, dressing-room, bathroom, and small gymnasium. Stairs leads to the lower level where you can find entertainment and socializing areas – games room, home theater, children and guests bedrooms, and a service area. Wide large windows in a dark safety glass, tinted for privacy and aesthetic interest, can be found in each room.
