Combining creativity, modern architecture and impeccable interior can transform an old attic into a modern loft. We present you a modern loft design in Sofia, Bulgaria, a project by interior designer Veneta Nikolova and architect Dimitar Karanikolov – 9b loft.
Modern loft design – a spectacular symbiosis of modernity and vintage
After moving from London back to Sofia, designer Veneta Nikolova and architect Dimitar Karanikolov spent two years in experimenting with colors, textures, finishes and furniture choosing to come up with this amazing modern loft design. The simple lines and modern interior ideas are enhanced by pieces of vintage furniture and accessories yet the overall impression reflects the contemporary lifestyle. A touch of warmth is provided with wooden surfaces and balances the minimalism. Exposed brick walls speak of industrial style and are complemented by spectacular lighting fixtures.
Modern loft design with attention to detail
Transforming an attic into a contemporary living space may be quite a challenge. 9 b loft is particularly attractive with the color combinations – tinted concrete, bricks and wood. The rich texture of the materials crates a special and intimate atmosphere. The massive cube in the center of the living room which sits on the elevator shaft of the building conceals the bathroom.
An upstairs bedroom impresses with an unusual solution – placing a bathtub in the center of the room but it looks charming and romantic. Open shelves accommodate the home library and at the same time decorate the dining-living room. The kitchen features a fabulous Industrial design with wood and metal accents. The magnet-held Edison bulbs above the dining table are absolutely fascinating and complete the interior concept. Enjoy the modern loft design ideas in the gallery below!
