Villa G by Saunders Architecture
Villa G is a modern family home situated in Bergen, Norway. Built according to Nordic standards the house stands out among the wild natural landscape with pure white grace. The architects at Saunders Architecture manage to create an interesting composition of volumes that shelter 368 m² of living area for the whole family.

Outdoor space: The house is surrounded by rich natural vegetation including a lot of deciduous trees, bushes and flower gardens. This alone creates a perfect outdoor atmosphere for a family home. The landscape changes completely during the different seasons and so does the whole image of the way the building stands. In spring and summer nature blooms and paints everything in vivid colors and during winter the landscape is wrapped up in pure white and the house always looks amazing.
Exterior and structure: The building has wooden cladding that consists of three different sizes mounted vertically following a random pattern. The glazing of the facade is designed according the privacy of the areas. The bedrooms and bathroom spaces have smaller windows while the living areas are open to the landscape through floor-to-ceiling windows.

Villa G is built on two levels, the ground floor shelters three bedrooms and a large living room. There is a transitional space between the entrance hall and the living area where the stairway to the upper level is placed. The second floor provides another living area with a kitchen and also a huge bathroom, master bedroom and another bedroom.
