Holiday Home by Luis Mira Architects
This luxurious home is located in Cape Town, South Africa. It is a 335 m² holiday house built by Luis Mira Architects.
The place is used by a single person who often invites guests to stay in. Such building requires a spacious living area suitable for many people and also a more isolated private area.
Luxury dining area interior
The plot of the building is situated in a very rich natural environment that includes Lion’s Head and Table Mountain, Campus Bay and of course the magnetic Atlantic Ocean. The tendency of the design is to open the house for as much of the surrounding scenery as possible. The house is designed in two floor levels. The ground floor consists of a united living and dining area with kitchen and two separate bedrooms.
Minimalist style living room
The living area opens to a large wooden deck with a swimming pool and palm trees. It offers a stunning view to the ocean and the natural scenery beyond the horizon where the sun sets every evening and colors the water in romance. The deck is perfect for a nice day under the sun or a late outdoor party near the pool.
Open plan living space
The second floor shelters one more room that includes the function of a bedroom and living room. There is also a roof terrace that extends above the whole first floor and provides a lot of space for an outdoor dinner and offers first-class ocean view. An outdoor staircase connects the two floors.
Contemporary house exterior
The interior of this holiday home, just like the exterior shows class. The ceiling and interior walls are white, the floor is wooden. The furniture is minimal, also in the white scheme. There is some art decoration in the hallway enclosed with thin glass walls. Everything is kept simple and modern. It is a harmonic recreation home that charms visitors before they even cross its doorway.
