Art architecture refers to a unique architectural image of buildings with a special purpose to their design.

A certain pattern is to be repeated in the structure of such buildings, creating an architectural assembly, which contributes to creating the outlook of a certain place. However, it is often required for these assemblies of buildings to be correlated in terms of style to the configuration of contemporary buildings’ design, which is achieved by synthesizing new and old buildings’ architectural plan. This method is necessary for maintaining the outlook of urban cities when intensive building is at hand. It is necessary to answer to the new requirement, still preserving the traditional architectural patterns, which carry their own aesthetic and artistically architectural value. By successfully carrying out this task, an art architecture design, which makes a certain city unique and picturesque with its own specifications, is achieved.

Creating art architecture in the contemporary building scheme is a challenging task, which requires a rather unique view of architecture as an art form. Today architects do not think according to the categories of a specific building, but rather relate to the image of an entire complex or neighborhood. And still, the unique buildings remain the most important part of the architectural landscape. They are often the center of intriguing architectural assemblies, which carry the dignity and romance of history in their core. Another approach is to create a provocative contrast with the strict traditional examples of mass building in our imagination, using the author’s innovative ideas. Buildings with pipes and ornaments on the walls, resembling musical instruments, buildings with unorthodox, hard to interpret shape for the mass’ spatial conscience, uncharacteristic materials or color decisions – all this catches the eye and breaks the stereotypes in order to find a new field of thought in terms of architecture’s capabilities as an arts form and not just as a means of building. Provoking the interest in art architecture is a prerequisite of giving architecture a top spot amongst the arts as a means of interpretation and mostly – as a pure arts form.
